This bowfishing competition started immediately after the 2019 World Koi Carp Classic. It is aimed at encouraging members to get out and hammer these pest fish outside the carp classic event itself. Results are based on a points system as follows.
Monthly (between committee meetings):
Whoever shoots the most koi carp gets 10 points, then 9 points for second etc down to 1 point for 10th place.
Record book koi:
Any koi carp making the top 10 in the record book (at the date it was shot) gets 10 points regardless of placing.
Grass carp:
Any grass carp gets 10 points regardless of size.
The Carpbusters competition will run for a full year with progress scores shown monthly on our website. Prizes, including an annual trophy, will be given out at each Carp Classic.
Carpbusters Polo Shirt
Anyone who claims 100 koi in a year will win a Carpbusters polo shirt.
This is for all koi carp shot between carp classics so does not include those shot during the event itself, limited to one shirt per member.
Just claim your koi as usual and you will be notified when you reach 100 koi and asked for your shirt size.
